Someone once said to me when I was planning my wedding “If you wouldn’t have them over for dinner, then don’t invite them to your wedding” - so if you use this analogy and you are more excited to put the extra cash on to the mortgage then on a grand wedding, then an intimate wedding day might be for you.
On the other hand, if you come from a large family and your cousins alone equate for a quarter of the shire, and you’ve saved some money up for the party of the century, then you go girl, but an intimate wedding might not be for you.
Amanda Knapton, a local Marriage Celebrant who has helped dozens of brides plan ‘mini weddings’ says “There is an overall trend towards minimalism and simplicity, and that goes for weddings too.”
Amanda and 3 other SW members have come together to create Pop Up Elopements - a team including Yolande from Floral Fix, Cassie from Bedford Photography, Loren from Sprinkles & Cream Cakes and of course, Amanda from A Celebration Day
Their motto is simple - “Creating weddings to suit your personal style and budget, with personality and passion.”
At SW we LOVE it when our vendors get together to create something special - we almost feel like proud parents! The team from Pop Up Elopements , together with some more vendors including Rydges Cronulla, Amy New Bridal, Hello Balloons, littlehoothoot, Jessica Amy Makeup and Leanne Formica Hair created an adorable autumn toned mini wedding shoot - showing that you don’t need to spend thousands to have a small, yet grand in style, intimate wedding.
