- IN THE SPOTLIGHT -
q & a with the grazing folk
When did you start your business?
I originally started making platters around February 2018, I then had an entire rebrand in October 2018 when The Grazing Folk was born!
What made you start your business?
I have always been a very creative person, with a love for art, cooking, styling and everything in between.
I made my first platter for a Kris Kringle party with my friends and I instantly fell in love with making them, every chance I had for an excuse to make a platter - I made one! I then finally decided to step out of my comfort zone and do something with it.
From there on I decided I wanted to get more creative with my styling. I have always held such loving memories with family and friends created around food and I wanted to create that foundation for those memories to be created by others. I then fell in love with creating Grazing Tables. I found my happy medium - Creative Styling & Food. One of the most joyful, creative and colourful combinations.
Any funny stories or requests from clients?
None of yet! All my clients have been so easy, kind and friendly - which I am so grateful for!
What do you do in your spare time?
I don’t really have that much spare time! Working full time + running this amazing small business doesn’t leave me with much time to spare. But when I do have a weekend free, I love to wander around homeware stores (May seem like a strange thing to do but I love it!)
I also love astrology and spend time reading and expanding my knowledge and understanding on it. I also love to cook & spend time with family & friends!
Your favourite place to visit in the Sutherland Shire?
I love Darook Park, my parents got married there so it holds a warm spot in my heart. My favourite spot is just past the beach towards the fisheries on the grass. Having a picnic there and watching the sunset is one of my favourite things to do.
What is your best advice for newlyweds?
Embrace and enjoy every moment of the magical experience!
